What's On Tap?

1905 Brewing Company Brews

"The Phoenix" is Coming Soon!
1. Big George Porter - The first beer ever brewed at 1905, the Big George Porter is a fan favorite of the porter lovers. Its malty flavor has roasted notes of coffee and chocolate. ABV 7.8

2. Smokey Coal Yard Porter - The perfect beer to end the day. Named after Assumption’s clean coal yard, this enjoyable dark beer has a slight smokey aroma and taste that comes from the smoked cherry malt. ABV 5.5

3. Downtown Brown - With its middle of the road ABV and low bitterness, this is a beer that can be enjoyed anytime of the year. It’s named after the location of the 1905 taproom. Hope to see you downtown soon. ABV 7.0

4. Raider Red - 1905’s version of the Irish Red. You can pick up the roasted barley taste in this malt-forward beer. Named after our local school mascot, Central A&M Raiders, we think you will enjoy this one. ABV 5.5

5. Assumption Amber Ale - The Assumption Amber Ale is mouth-watering malty goodness. Great malt taste with low bitterness/hoppiness. Named after our small town, the AAA is a true easy drinking beer that anyone can enjoy. ABV 4.9

6. 1905 Citra - IPA’s are a favorite of the 1905 owners, thus this beer bears the 1905 name. It’s an easy drinking IPA made with Nugget, Mosaic, and Citra hops. ABV 6.0

7. Farmer’s Daughter - An easy drinking, slightly fruity blonde ale. It’s one of our more popular beers. This is a good introductory beer for those new to craft beer. ABV 5.5

8. Slag Pile Stout - This beer is a blend of 9 malts and grains along with a Tettnang hop. We add lactose to the boil to create a smooth and sweet yet malty flavor. Dry hopped with cocoa nibs, the name of this chocolate oatmeal stout references Assumption’s coal mining days and is an owner favorite. ABV 4.7

9. Hot Red Pepper - A spice lover’s beer. We take our Raider Red and infuse it with jalapeno peppers. The result is a nice pepper taste but not a lot of heat. ABV 5.5

10. Water Tower Wheat - A simple straight-forward low bitterness wheat beer designed for the non-craft beer lovers. Named after the water tower that looms over 1905, we anticipate this beer will be a customer favorite. ABV 5.5

11. Route 2 Rye - A light amber colored rye based IPA. Route 2 is well balanced between malt flavor and hop bitterness and it has just the right amount of spicy/peppery rye flavor. ABV 7.0

12. Raider Black - This is 1905’s dark IPA with a ton of hops, but don’t let that scare you as it is balanced by a heavy malt base. ABV 5.78

13. Hopped Up Hearse - Our New England style IPA is an easy drinker with low bitterness and nice hop flavor and aroma. The Hopped Up Hearse gets its body and color from the base malt, Munich. ABV 6.8

14. BELL RINGER – Who doesn’t love a good session beer? This is our version of a session IPA that you could drink all day. It’s named after our tradition of ringing the bell at 7:05 for our nightly toast. ABV 4.9

15. COMET BLUE – Malted barley blended with blue corn creates a creamy smooth corn cream ale that has become a popular favorite of 1905 customers. ABV 6.8
